Wednesday Workshops
| Marriage and family behind the scenes with Ezra and Kendra Stanton | In this workshop, you’ll hear practical wisdom for building a strong marriage and a healthy family in the midst of the chaos. Learn habits that will strengthen your home in the places where real life and ministry meet. |
| Pulse check with Steve Wexler, DMFT | How is your soul these days? Take an honest look at how life and ministry may be affecting your health and leadership with Steve Wexler, DMFT, a senior pastor and licensed marriage and family therapist with over 30 years of experience in both pastoral ministry and counseling. Learn practical ways to notice warning signs early and respond in healthy, sustainable ways. |
| Stop losing time to admin: practical AI tools to get back to ministry with Rick Bulman | Sometimes the “mundane” tasks of ministry can slowly take over your time. Discover how AI can help with everyday admin tasks, such as responding to emails and messages, organizing and planning. Rick Bulman, founder of churchhub.ai, will teach you simple ways to save time and reduce the load of administrative tasks without needing to be tech-savvy. |
| The experience we create with Jordan Steingraber | Every church creates an experience, whether we plan for it or not. Learn how all elements of your environment (audio, visuals, lighting and programming) create spaces that help people engage. You’ll walk away with principles and practices that work with any budget, any church, and any environment. Jordan has worked production environments for more than 20 years, previously serving as an audio engineer. He is now on staff at Faith Chapel, a Foursquare church in Billings, Mont. |
| Be ready to baptize kids and teens with the Holy Spirit with NextGen panel | Many leaders want kids and teens to experience the Holy Spirit, but are not sure how to guide those moments. Learn how to talk about and lead these experiences in ways that make sense for different ages, from preschool through high school. Walk away with language and tools you can actually use with the kids and teens you lead. Panel members will be Monique + Yaseer Handall, Stacy Collins, Andy Sloan, Natalie Werking, Emily Plater and Kimberly Dirmann. |
| Building a high-trust culture with Tim Poetzl | Does your church have a high-trust culture? Trust shapes how teams communicate, make decisions and stay healthy over time. Learn practical ways to strengthen trust, address breakdowns early and lead through tension with clarity and care. Walk away with tools you can use with staff, volunteers and leadership. |
| Making space for spiritual gifts with Ben Dixon | Spiritual gifts are part of the life of the church, but many leaders feel unsure how to help people recognize and use them well. Learn practical ways to equip people to step into their gifts so the church functions with greater clarity, health and purpose. |
| Reaching near and far with Kaj Martin | While we are often tempted to become “comfortable” in our churches, staying safe rarely leads to expansion. Jesus instructed the church in Acts to bring the gospel to those near and far. This workshop will help you identify the next ground you and your congregation are being called to take, and enable you to pastor and lead whoever God calls you to, whether near or far. |
| From vision to movement with Ryan Kim | Whenever God gives you a dream of how you can partner with Him in His kingdom work, you can be sure the road will not be easy. In this workshop, Ryan Kim will share his church-planting story to demonstrate some helpful principles that can help you bridge the gap between the dream God has given you and the many obstacles that stand in your way. Discover how to see your vision come to life through small, intentional steps that create real momentum. |
| Positioned for spiritual warfare with Bob Hunt and panel | As pastors and leaders, it’s important that we have a balanced, scriptural perspective on engaging in spiritual warfare. In this workshop, Bob Hunt will moderate a discussion with some of the authors and contributors to Positioned for Breakthrough (Foursquare Missions Press, August), including Jerry Stott, Ph.D., Leslie Keegel, Angie Richey, Ph.D., and Ty Austin. Topics of discussion will include dealing with spiritual warfare in the local church, what a deliverance session looks like, the difference between being possessed and oppressed, and much more. |
| Who’s Missing? with Jon and Fawn Cobler | If your team looks like you, thinks like you and grew up like you, that’s not a team. It’s a mirror. True biblical leadership is meant to be a reflection of the diversity of the kingdom of God. This workshop is an honest conversation about the barriers that keep pastors from building the kind of leadership team that actually reflects like the body of Christ. Come ready to examine yourself, not just your structure. |
| 7 – 8:30 a.m. | Worship + Prayer with Pastor Randy |
| 9 – 11 a.m. | General Session: Multigenerational Focus |
We’re gathering at the Henry B. González Convention Center from Monday to Thursday (May 25-28). We start things off on Monday at 6 p.m. (CDT) with the first session, and we will wrap things up around 1 p.m. on Thursday. As you make arrival plans, please note that some optional events may be added earlier in the day.
