May 26, 2023 @ 8:30 am May 28, 2023 @ 12:00 pm

The 2023 Annual Chaplain Training will be held on May 26-28, 2023. I strongly encourage everyone to stay for the Foursquare Connection from May 29-June 1, 2023. We will be celebrating the Foursquare Centennial, and as Foursquare Chaplaincy continues to grow, it is important that we are represented in the annual church business meetings.

Dr. Angie Richey will be our featured speaker at the Chaplain Training weekend. Angie is the president of Life Pacific University and a licensed therapist. She is an educator and mental health advocate, empowering individuals to live out their God-given purpose.

As the first female president of Life Pacific University since its founder, Aimee Semple McPherson, Angie has demonstrated her skills as a future-focused innovator with a proven track record of adaptive leadership. She is both leader and professor; academic and relator. Speaking nationally and internationally over the past 25 years for retreats, conferences, camps, and seminars, she is a mental health advocate and a recognized voice in Christian higher education.

Angie holds two master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Life Coaching, which she utilizes to influence personal development, healthy relationships, and emotional health. In addition, she filmed a documentary on forgiveness directed by Academy Award-winning producer Arnold Shapiro.

Angie and her husband, Lew, are the founding pastors of The Gathering and lead a successful counseling practice and executive leadership consultancy. They love serving and enjoy life with their two adult children and daughter-in-love.

Angie’s presentation, The Mental Health of the Helper, will help participants gain an understanding of how to navigate the tension between helping others and helping themselves with a deep faith and proactive steps to discover and maintain personal wholeness.
