About the Program: River Church Family offers a dynamic summer internship with hands-on experiences in a variety of ministry areas. As a church that owns a community swimming pool, we provide unique opportunities for community engagement and outreach throughout the summer months.

Interns will gain experience in:

• Kids and youth ministry, including VBS and youth swim nights,
• Community outreach, such as free swim days, dive-in movie nights, and summer lunch ministries
• Discipleship and evangelism, through weekly outreach and personal ministry
• Non-profit management and family casework, in partnership with our sister organization, River of Refuge, which serves families facing homelessness
• Camp ministry, with administrative and hands-on opportunities at Missouri/Kansas/Nebraska summer camps.

Internship Responsibilities: Intern responsibilities will be tailored to their ministry interests and strengths, with opportunities including: kids and youth ministry, administrative ministry, evangelistic outreach and discipleship at River Community Pool, community outreach through summer lunch ministry, non-profit experience with River of Refuge, mentoring, coaching, speaking, and teaching opportunities as appropriate.

Interns will serve 20 hours per week, receiving intentional coaching and hands-on training in Spirit-filled, relational disciple-making while engaging deeply with the local community.
