New Beginnings Christian Academy (NBCA) in Jacksonville, Fla., is a growing private Christian school with a dedicated staff, searching for a reliable and trustworthy vice principal to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The vice principal will be tasked with assisting the principal with the day-to-day operations of NBCA as well as administrating school policies and reviewing budgets, organizing school events and community initiatives, updating student records, handling disciplinary issues and recruiting new staff. The vice principal should make valid contributions to improvement of the school and be a great example for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with various departments and forwarding any issues or suggestions to the principal.
• Helping with the development and review of budgets, school policies and rules and regulations.
• Attending and participating in meetings with staff, parents and other officials.
• Assisting with recruitment, training and onboarding of all new staff.
• Planning and organizing school events and field trips and assisting with various committees.
• Establishing rapport and maintaining relationships with parents, staff and students.
• Sitting in on disciplinary hearings and providing advice for at-risk students.
• Updating student and school records.
• Addressing concerns raised by students, staff and parents.
• Remaining active and visible on field trips and during school functions.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in education or an equivalent.
• Relevant license and registration may be required.
• Extensive teaching and administration experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent research and report-writing abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to follow instructions but also come up with original ideas.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other software systems.
• Knowledge of budgeting and management.
• A high degree of professionalism.
• Stand in for principal when principal is not on campus.

Salary

• Based on level of experience for position, from $40,000 a year.

Church and ministry expectations:

NBCA is a ministry of New Beginnings Christian Center (Jacksonville 2 Foursquare Church). Employees of our school are joining a ministry that has high expectations of all its staff members. Each person must demonstrate the life of Christ in their everyday living to our students, their parents and fellow employees. Since it is the mission of our school to train and equip children to be followers of Jesus Christ, we require all our employees to be Christian role models in their lives, both on and off the job (according to Luke 6:40). We are looking for a dedicated individual who would also like to use their God-given gifts and talents in both our academy and in the adjacent Foursquare church. Voluntary ministry opportunities at New Beginnings Christian Center include assistant pastor, worship leader, or NextGen leader. Church pastoral team members must be Foursquare ministers or currently in the credentialing process.
