Keys Christian Fellowship is a Spirit-led, community-centered church in St. Joseph, Missouri. We have a 13-year legacy of welcoming the broken, the addicted and the unchurched into the transforming love of Christ. We are a body that values love over perfection, the Word of God without compromise and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Desired Candidate Profile: 
We are seeking a humble, Spirit-filled pastor who loves people, the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. The ideal candidate will be:

• Grounded in Scripture and able to preach with clarity and conviction
• Compassionate and equipped to lead ministries to the homeless and addicted
• Passionate about discipleship and developing leaders, especially youth and young adults
• Spirit-led, with a heart for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and operation of the gifts of the Spirit
• Bold enough to lead, wise enough to listen and humble enough to serve

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Preach and Teach the Word:  Deliver Bible-based, Spirit-led sermons with clear application without being overly academic and disconnected from the real-life needs of the congregation
• Shepherd the Congregation: Provide spiritual guidance, pastoral care and biblical counsel
• Lead Outreach Efforts: Engage with and expand our ministries to the homeless, addicted and marginalized
• Disciple Future Leaders: Equip and mentor youth, young adults and emerging leaders
• Foster Worship and Prayer: Encourage a culture of worship that blends traditional and contemporary elements, with space for the gifts of the Spirit
• Promote Missional Living: Cultivate missions awareness and partnerships inside and outside the church

Qualifications: 

• Ministry leadership or pastoral experience preferred (though mature new leaders will be considered)
• Deep biblical knowledge and teaching ability; formal education helpful but not required
• Proven ability to connect with a wide range of people and personalities
• Humble, relational leadership style with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through
• Heart for spiritual renewal and revival, with openness to the work of the Holy Spirit
• Desire to serve a congregation open to transformation, diversity, and growth
