Faith Chapel (Billings Foursquare Church) exists to help people follow Jesus, be transformed by Jesus and be on mission with Jesus. Located in Billings, Mont., Faith Chapel has additional campuses in Sidney and Red Lodge. Faith Chapel is seeking a full-time pastor for junior-high ministries.

Description

The purpose of the junior high pastor is to implement the ministry vision of Faith Chapel through the pastoring of 6th-8th grade students. This pastor will oversee and carry out weekly services, events and camps in order to reach and disciple junior high students.

We currently average 150+ junior high students for a midweek age-specific service and 100+ junior high students for weekend junior-high services.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Leadership: Provide direction and leadership for the ministry by implementing the vision of the lead pastor. Create compelling large group experiences, safe and authentic small group experiences and devotional tools for students to take home.
• Relationships: Connect with, encourage, lead, shepherd and disciple students. Show appreciation, encourage, recruit and train volunteers and leaders. Work closely with the 4th and 5th grade ministry and high school pastor in order to smoothly transition students between ministries.
• Communication: Communicate and correspond with parents, volunteers, staff and students.
• Teaching: Teach weekly services in a way that captures the attention of students with relevant, biblical material that encompasses the vision and values of Faith Chapel.
• Volunteer development: Recruit and train volunteers who will help lead the junior high ministry.
• Planning: Plan and execute weekend services, Wednesday night services, and outreach events for Junior High students. Work with MVMT Team to develop and help create the programing for large-scale events.
• Camp: Develop and oversee programming for junior high summer camps. Administrate camp details and logistics. Set budgets, recruit volunteers and work with the communications team to implement promotions strategy.
• Administration: Strengthen junior high ministry programs through short-term and long-term goals. Develop and implement an annual calendar of activities and programs that promote the spiritual growth and discipleship of students. Manage the annual junior high ministry budget.

• Ability to reach junior high students with the gospel.
• Assimilating students who are not currently involved in our ministry and retain them until they transition into high school ministry.

We prefer 3-5 years of church ministry experience. Compensation is TBD based on experience. This role is eligible for full-time benefits package.
