Church Description: 
Declaration Church is a small, Christ-centered congregation in Gering, Nebraska, committed to authentic community, relational discipleship and Bible teaching with real-life application. We operate more like a home group than a traditional church, with weekly discussion-based sermons and deep relational engagement. Currently averaging 12–15 attendees, our church has a close-knit, family-like atmosphere and is seeking a pastor who shares our heart for grassroots ministry and neighborhood outreach.

Desired Candidate Profile:  
We are seeking a Senior Pastor who is passionate about relational ministry and teaching God’s Word in a way that connects with everyday life. The right candidate will join us in living out the Gospel in a small but growing community, especially reaching underserved and unchurched neighbors.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Teach the Bible weekly with an emphasis on application and discussion
• Shepherd the congregation through relationship, presence and care
• Collaborate with the church in its current small-group/home-group style format
• Encourage and equip members for outreach and service in the local community
• Steward limited financial and technological resources wisely

Qualifications: 

• A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ
• Strong Bible teaching ability with practical application
• Relational and approachable—lives life with the church, not above it
• Comfortable with informal, discussion-oriented church formats
• Embraces grace-filled, non-judgmental leadership (Romans 15:7)
• Tech-savvy and financially responsible

Compensation: 

• $600/month housing allowance to start
• This is a bi-vocational position, with the potential for increased support as the church grows
