The Foursquare Church is actively seeking a church planter to launch a new, Spirit-led work in New Orleans, Louisiana. This opportunity is designed for a catalytic leader—a visionary, pioneer and disciple-maker—who feels called to start something from the ground up and bring the transformative message of Jesus to the heart of one of America’s most iconic and spiritually significant cities.

Role Responsibilities

• Launch a new Foursquare church in the urban core of New Orleans
• Build a grassroots movement centered on Jesus, discipleship and community transformation
• Raise up local leaders who reflect the diversity and spirit of the city
• Engage in holistic mission, addressing both spiritual and tangible needs
• Create a welcoming, Spirit-filled environment for the unchurched and de-churched

Ministry Priorities

• Plant and nurture a church that reflects the family-oriented and community-centered nature of New Orleans.
• Create spaces for outreach, spiritual growth and discipleship across all ages and backgrounds.
• Collaborate with local organizations and leaders to meet community needs and create lasting impact.

Qualifications

• Licensed or eligible for licensing with The Foursquare Church
• Proven leadership and ministry experience (church planting experience is a plus)
• Commitment to Foursquare doctrine, mission and values
• Ability to work bi-vocationally in the early stages of church development
• Excellent communication and relational skills
• A heart for the Great Commission and Great Commandment
• Gifted in building authentic relationships, cultivating discipleship pathways and raising up local leaders
• Culturally aware and community-focused, with a heart for ministry in a diverse and evolving city
• Spiritually discerning and equipped to engage in spiritual warfare and cultural dynamics unique to New Orleans
