Early childhood ministry lead
Website Church of Living Water
The Church of Living Water (Olympia Foursquare Church) of Olympia, Wash., is seeking a full-time early childhood ministry lead. Living Water’s mission is the same one Jesus gave His followers: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt. 28:19, NKJV).
The vision of Church of Living Water is to create a community of authentic believers and to witness a city transformed by the life-changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The church observes five rhythms:
- Inside-out change: I choose to be transformed from the inside out. I am transformed when I partner with the Word and Spirit so that my heart and desires are conformed to be like Jesus. Ongoing spiritual formation means that I live from my identity in Jesus and think and behave more and more like He did.
- Naturally supernatural: I expect the Holy Spirit to work through me moment by moment. I am a Spirit-born, Spirit-filled and Spirit-led person. I live with the awareness that the Spirit is with me and people and places are transformed wherever I go. I embrace His unexpected interruptions.
- Authentic relationships: I cultivate connected, committed and vulnerable relationships. I have meaningful relationships where I know people and they know me. I share life with people and stay with them, even when it costs me to do so. They do the same for me. We make each other better, and together we are blessed and empowered.
- Relentless welcome: I look for the “other” around me and bring them close. I look for the people God brings my way to whom I would not naturally relate. I make them feel comfortable in my presence. I welcome them in such a way that they know I am glad to be with them.
- Missional impact: I live out the mission of God everywhere, all the time.God has called and empowered me to make a difference in my community and in the world. I ask God where He is at work and join Him there. I walk out God’s heart and purposes by altering my preferences for the needs of others.
