State of Foursquare Missions International

Director of Foursquare Missions International (FMI) Jim Scott reported that 2012 was a time to both strengthen and expand the Foursquare work around the world. Many exciting developments were reported throughout the Foursquare family. The following are some of the highlights:

  • Foursquare South Korea sent missionaries to 14 nations.
  • A training center opened in Trinidad-Tobago and is ready to train missionaries from Latin America, North America and the Caribbean.
  • FMI trained 30 missionary applicants, four FMI missionary teams, 18 pastors and eight missionaries from non-Foursquare ministries.
  • A Christmas gift of $65,607.70 was received to help FMI minister to children.
  • Church planting teams were welcomed in three metro areas of Taiwan.
  • Foursquare Cuba has established an extension of ABI (Angelus Bible Institute) and has plans to expand the number of institutes in the next few years.

A major accomplishment in the U.S. was FMI’s work with Infinity Concepts to clarify and to articulate the identity and mission of FMI. The following is FMI’s goal: “To take the whole gospel to the whole world until all have heard.” Jim is excited about the clarity the process created, and he is optimistic about the future as churches receive the information and have an opportunity to partner with FMI toward a clear future.
