Search for Life Pacific College President Currently Underway

The search committee of Foursquare’s historical Bible college is considering applications for president, with a decision on the new leader expected in May. The successful candidate will take over at a key time in the history of the 90-year-old college. To date, Life Pacific College has prepared around 27,000 men and women for Christian service in nearly 140 countries.

Finding Drinking Water and the Living Water in Malawi

Foursquare College Grad Launches Mobile Church Movement

Rebecca Schaub—recent Life Pacific College grad and assisting minister at Gateway (Salem South Foursquare Church) in Salem, Ore.—and three young colleagues are setting out August 17 on a 15-state trek that will take them to around 20 churches to serve, encourage and learn. Rebecca hopes this will be the first of multiple future teams that will go out to different districts.

Women in Ministry Leadership Alabaster House Legacy Scholarship recipients were announced on Aug. 1, 2012. $9,500 in total was awarded to six women on the basis of church and community service, their call to ministry, character, financial need and future educational plans.

Life Pacific College Receives National Award

After posting a 54 percent increase in enrollment during the 2010-2011 school year, Life Pacific College (LPC) received the prestigious 2012 Jonathan N. Thigpen Enrollment Growth Award. LPC’s growth rate was the highest among the award’s other co-winners. The award is evidence that the college’s numerous efforts to expand its horizons and train more leaders are working.

Leaders Invited to Training That Prepares Them for Crisis Situations

It’s not the kind of thing we like to think about—but when tragedy strikes, how prepared are we to minister effectively to people in need? Foursquare Chaplains International provides FEMA-approved training for disaster relief and crisis management via Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) training. In January, 81 leaders gathered for the first training intensive, and more training events are in the works.
