Scholarships

In 1954, God gave several Foursquare women a calling and vision to minister to missionaries, pastors and their families. Local church leadership and the women in churches across the country partnered to save "A Penny a Day" to build the Alabaster House, a place where goods would be gathered and distributed to Foursquare missionaries.

For more than 45 years, missionaries visited the Alabaster House before leaving for the field and while on furlough to select clothing and household items that would make their lives more comfortable.

Foursquare women also had a vision for the development of a college scholarship fund for missionaries' and pastors' children. This fund has awarded thousands of dollars through the years to numerous students. The heart behind this passion of United Foursquare Women (which later became Foursquare Women International) was to come alongside leaders in training and provide financial assistance for their education.

Three different Alabaster House scholarships are available:

     1. Emerging Leader Network Scholarship—for young women preparing for vocational ministry through a Foursquare ELN program.
     2. Bible College Scholarship—for women under 30 enrolled in a Foursquare Bible college.
     3. Aimee Semple McPherson Scholarship—for currently-licensed Foursquare women ministers pursuing graduate education.
