Our Mission:
The mission of the Foursquare Insurance Department is to provide insurance, risk management and risk control services for churches, schools, day care centers, colleges, institutes and camps of The Foursquare Church.
Note: The coverages and services provided by Foursquare Insurance are for participating locations of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel only. We cannot provide insurance coverage to non-Foursquare entities.
Coverages
Information on coverages provided, including:
- Property is provided through the Foursquare insurance Department for participating churches to pay for the repair or replacement of church-owned buildings and contents that have been damaged or destoyed as the result of the occurrence of a covered peril. - Commercial Vehicle is provided by the Foursquare Insurance Department for church-owned vehicles only. In order to participate in the Commercial Vehicle Insurance program the church must be a participant in the Property Insurance Program, the vehicle must be registered in the legal name of the church (International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, at the local church address). The vehicle cannot be used by any commercial purpose and 15-passenger vans are excluded. For more information on this coverage please see the Insurance Coverages page.
- Activities are provided to all participating Foursquare churches, schools, camps, etc., to cover usual and customary medical expenses associated with an injury sustained while taking part in a church-sponsored activity. Church-sponsored activities would include, but not necessarily be limited to: church services, church-sponsored sports activities, social gatherings such as dinners, banquets, etc., and outdoor/camping activities. - Workers' Compensation provides statutory benefits in those States where private carriers are permitted. This insurance pays medical care costs and a percentage of lost earnings associated with a bodily injury sustained by an employee of the church during the course and scope of their employement with the church. Please note that this coverage is not available through the Foursquare Insurance Department for the states of Ohio, North Dakota, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.
- Commercial General Liability is insurance provided through the Foursquare Insurance Department pays those sums the church becomes legally obligated to pay to third parties as damages because of bodily injury, property damage, personal or advertising injury, subject to policy terms, conditions and exclusions. - Crime is coverage extended to all Foursquare churches in the United States participating in the Property Insurance Program through the Foursquare Insurance Department. It provides coverage for loss of money and securities due to Employeed Dishonesty, Depositors Forgery and Theft. For more information on this coverage please see the Insurance Coverages page.
Claims
Background Checks
As part of the recently mandated Child and Youth Protection Policy, The Foursquare Church now requires that all persons in position (staff and volunteer) that have access to children (birth to 18 years) have a criminal background check performed. The Insurance Department can perform this check for your church, school, etc. The first five background checks performed within a given policy year (May 1 to May 1) are free of charge. Each additional background check performed after the initial five will be billed to the church at $9.00 per name. The instructions for utilizing this service and the required consent forms are below. Please notethat only those locations in the State of California are required to complete the 'California Addendum.'
