General Questions



Q1. What are the dates for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?

The dates for Summit are Saturday, December 29 through Monday, December 31, 2007.

Summit ’07 officially begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 29 and concludes at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. It is strongly suggested that all registrants arrive prior to the start of Summit to accommodate the flow of registration and to allow ample time for individuals to get settled in their hotel rooms.

Note: You may want to extend your stay!

The Southern California area is a popular destination during the holiday season. Anaheim is home to many tourist attractions including Disneyland, Downtown Disney, California Adventure, Knott’s Berry Farm. All are within walking distance or a short drive of the Summit location.

If you decide to visit any of these tourist attractions, please plan ahead. So you can fully enjoy the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07, schedule a few days before and/or after the event to enjoy the surrounding attractions.

If you’re planning an extended stay, be sure to schedule your flight and hotel reservations accordingly!


Q2. Where will the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07 be hosted?

A. The Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07 events and activities will be hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, located at 800 West Katella Avenue, Anaheim, CA 92802 . Workshops will take place at the Anaheim Hilton and Anaheim Marriot. Both are just a hop and a skip away from the convention center.


Q3. Who is invited to the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?


A. We invite those who want to chase dreams, to pursue truth, and to escape the ordinary. If you seek to be spiritually awakened and empowered to change the world, then the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07 is the event for you!

General sessions, workshops and activities will be geared for junior high and high school students, as well as college-age/young adults and leaders. Senior pastors, church volunteers and parents also are encouraged to attend.


Q4. Is childcare provided?

A. Childcare will not be provided.


Q5. Will meal discounts be offered by Anaheim restaurants for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07?

A. No, meal discounts will not be offered by surrounding Anaheim restaurants. The surrounding vicinity of the Anaheim Hilton and Convention Center provides many meal options, from fast food to formal dining, all within walking distance.

Attendees will receive a dining guide at check-in. But if you’d like to plan ahead, you can find a list of restaurants online with a pricing guide to help you budget. Average meals range from $15-$30.


Q6. Tell me more about the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07 program.


A. The Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07 program will be dynamic and intense! It will consist of high-impact general sessions during the mornings and evenings, innovative workshops during the day, explosive live concerts in the evenings, and the most extreme experiences you can imagine in the Imagine Terminal! We’ll also have awesome sponsors and exhibitors on-site to engage you into the world of the next generation!

Q7. Where can I learn more about who is speaking and which artists will be at the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?

Q8. How can I promote the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07 to my church youth group and leaders, my parents, and students from my school or community?

A. We encourage you to request or download all the promotional material made available for you online at www.foursquarengs.com. The site has available resources that you can utilize to effectively promote the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07 to your church or friends.


Q9. What are the basic rules?

A. There are five basic rules (with a few sub-points) to keep in mind:

  1. Be where you are supposed to be when you are supposed to be there.
  2. Respect other people and their belongings.
    1. No fighting or foul language
    2. No stealing
  3. No illegal stuff (including drugs, alcohol, and weapons)
  4. You break it, you buy it.
  5. No girls in guys’ rooms, no guys in girls’ rooms.

Foursquare NextGen Summit '07 is about seeking God's healing for orphans, human trafficking and poverty, first spiritually and then physically.

These are spiritual realities for everyone, but they can be overcome with God's healing. It's not a quick fix, but a lifelong journey. On that journey, we see these spiritual problems in physical form:

Q1. How do I register for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?

A. There are four ways to register:

Q2. How do I register a group for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?


A. All group registrations must be made:

Online: Online group registration can be made at www.foursquare.org/nextgensummit

By Mail: A separate form must be included for each registrant with payment information. Submit all group registration forms as one submission to the registrar at the same time, in one package, via U.S. mail.

By Fax: Fax all group registration forms as one submission to the registrar at 801.355.8019. Please submit a cover sheet with a list of all names included in your group registration, as well as separate forms for each of the registrants. If you are paying by check, please mail the check to the address above. Your registration will not be complete until payment and consent forms are received.

And remember, to qualify for free registration for the 10th person, all registrants must register at the same time. Groups can register either online, by mail or by fax.


Q3. How do I register a group without having all members' contact information?

A. If you register online, you can save spots for potential attendees by using a "Jane or John Doe" names and information. Upon completing your registrations for your group, you’ll receive a confirmation number. Use this number to add to or modify your account as you collect your group names and information. But make sure to do all this before November 30, 2007.


Q4. What is included in the cost of registration for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?

A. The cost of registration includes entrance to all Foursquare NextGen Summit general sessions with powerful speakers, informative workshops, live concerts and participation in the Imagine Terminal.

Activities in the Imagine Terminal include skateboarding, rollerblading, rock-wall climbing, inflatable games and opportunities for students to provide aid for orphans, stop human trafficking and fight poverty.

Bonus: The first 5,000 registrants will receive a one-year subscription to RELEVANT magazine.


Q5. Is there a detailed registration price break down?

Q6. Is the Super Early Bird registration the only opportunity to reserve my spot for $59?


A. Yes. Reserve your Super Early Bird registration with a $59 per person non-refundable deposit, due by Oct. 5, 2007. Balance due Nov. 30, 2007. You are not fully registered until final payment is made.

All other registrations are due in full by the respective registration deadlines.


Q7. What payment method is preferred for registration?

A. Payment should be made by credit card or check. Please make checks payable to the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.

Please do not send cash.


Q8. When am I completely registered for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07? How will I know?


A. You are completely registered when your registration form, payment balance, and parental consent forms for all minors in your group are submitted to the registrar, no later than November 30, 2007.

Once you are officially registered, you will receive a confirmation letter giving you further details about the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07.


Q9. How do I cancel my registration?


A. If you wish to cancel your registration, a refund will be given to all requests on or before November 30, 2007. No refunds will be issued to registrations cancelled after this date.

Registrations made with a deposit to reserve a pre-registered rate will receive the balance paid less the deposit of $59. Registrations can be transferred to another person on or before November 30, 2007.

Q10. How should individuals under 18 register for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?

A. All registrants under 18 must register with a supervising adult. A parent/legal guardian consent form must be received by the registration company for each registering minor.

Q11. Where should the parent/legal guardian consent form be sent?

A. The registration company must receive an original parent/legal guardian consent form for each registering minor. A minor’s registration is not complete without a signed consent form. Copies of completed forms will not be accepted.

Q1. Which hotels qualify me for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07 $10 rebate?

A. Two hotels offer a discounted rate for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07, the Hilton Anaheim and the Marriott Hilton. Visit the Hotels & Accommodations section of the Registration page for more details.


Q2. When will I receive my special rebate for staying at Anaheim Hilton or the Anaheim Marriott?

A. Your rebate will be given at the Foursquare NextGen Summit ’07. Details will be included in your registration packet.


Minors Questions



Q1. Must minors be accompanied by an adult?

A. Yes, all attendees under 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult, whether their NextGen leader, a parent or another responsible adult.


Q2. What is the recommended ratio of leaders/chaperones/supervising adults to attendees under the age of 18?


A. We recommend that there be one or two leaders/chaperones per every 10 students.

Transportation Questions



Q1. Which airport should I use?

A. Airline rates and schedules will vary depending on which airport destination you select for Summit. Below is a list of surrounding airports and their distance from the Anaheim Convention Center.


Q2. Is there any ground transportation provided to and from the airports for the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07?


A. No. Each group is responsible for arranging its own ground transportation to and from the airport. Airport or hotel shuttles and rental car facilities are readily available at every airport. Prices will vary depending on your desired travel distance.


Q3. If I’m driving to the Foursquare NextGen Summit ‘07, what information do I need to know?

A. Each leader, parent, or individual driving a group of minors to Summit should refer to the Foursquare Child and Youth Protection Manual for regulations on transportation of minors to a Foursquare-sponsored event.

Some hotels charge for parking while others provide it free of charge. Be sure to verify parking information when making hotel reservations. The Anaheim Convention Center has a parking facility and charges an hourly and daily fee. Visit their Web site for more information.

There are other parking options around the Anaheim Convention Center, but we do advise that you obey all restricted-parking signs.
