We’ve planned and brainstormed lots of new features for this year’s Connection so there’s something for everyone. Visit our all-new Connection Center, check out our plans for mentoring young leaders, get involved as a worship leader with Foursquare’s new Worship Leaders Network track, see how we will nurture your children with our NextGen Connections program and find out more about our Scholars track.
Connection Center
The exhibit hall has become a thing of the past as we launch our new Connection Center. Thoughtful design went into creating the ideal meeting space for the Foursquare family while at Connection 2012. Enjoy great food, ample seating, live music, a resource marketplace of exhibits and even a game of ping-pong. Be sure and stop by between general sessions! If you have a ministry or organization that would be a great addition to the connection center, opportunities are available. Click here.
Mentoring Young Leaders
Young leaders ages 18-35 are a key focus at Connection 2012. We’ve organized evening sessions scheduled outside general session times open only to those registered as Young Leaders. Highly respected Foursquare ministers will share their hearts and pour into our emerging leaders. Thoughtful question-and-answer periods will foster growth for everyone involved. Foursquare values leaders from every age and stage of life. Mark your calendar for Monday, May 28 at 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29 at 6 p.m.
Worship Leaders Track
This year, for the first time, a four-hour Learning and Connection Track will be devoted to worship leadership and songwriting. Special guest Matt Redman will share with Foursquare worship leaders and hold a question-and-answer period. We want to allow worship leaders from around the world to meet and collaborate, expanding our knowledge and inspiration for communicating God’s word through song and spoken word.
We are hoping this new track opens the door to the official formation of a network of Foursquare Worship Leaders who embrace the call of God and seek to usher His presence across our movement. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit original songs in advance for a chance to share their song with the group live! More details will be provided to those who register.
NextGen Connections
We aren’t babysitting children and youth in Phoenix for Connection 2012—we’re equipping them for the future! The NextGen host team has not only designed fun activities for children of attendees but also has organized special sessions to genuinely engage young people spiritually. We want to prepare them to have faith like David when facing the “Goliaths” of our world. Kids will be stimulated by the worship and teaching, and youth will enjoy breakouts geared to their specific areas of calling and spiritual gifting. This year’s NextGen program promises to be powerful and equipping. For details, click here.
Foursquare Scholars Fellowship
Let’s explore the past, present and future of the Foursquare movement as it’s comprised by thousands of unique voices. This year’s Connection theme, “Speak—Reclaim Our Voice,” will be the focus in a special new session led by Sam Rockwell, David Moore and other Foursquare leaders and scholars. This Learning and Connection Track will address the question of how we preserve our uniqueness and identity in the face of the changing landscape of global Christianity. Anyone is welcome!
