
Dr. Jim Scott currently serves The Foursquare Church as assistant general supervisor and vice president of regional church operations. He also serves as church multiplication advisor, is a member of the Foursquare Board of Directors and facilitates the annual Foursquare Cabinet meeting and the convention business session.
Jim received an associate's degree in liberal arts at Rio Hondo College and a bachelor's degree in criminology with a minor in sociology from Fresno State University. It was at Fresno State University that he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In 1981 he received a master of theology degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. He will complete a doctor of ministry degree at Bakke Graduate University of Ministry in May 2008. Jim served as an adjunct professor at Life Pacific College and an adjunct professor at Melodyland School of Theology; he also served as the chairman of the board of trustees for Life Bible College East in Christiansburg, Va.
Prior to his current appointment, Jim served The Foursquare Church in a variety of appointments. In 1979, he became youth pastor at Plaza Bible Foursquare Church in Orange, Calif. He then served as senior pastor of the Norwalk, Calif., Foursquare Church and later returned to Plaza Bible Foursquare Church to serve as senior pastor. Jim also served the national church office of The Foursquare Church as a divisional and regional superintendent, supervisor of the historic Southern California District, supervisor of the New England and the Tri-State Metro Districts, senior supervisor, national coach and member of the general supervisor's advisory council.
