Tommy Walker’s newest release, Overflow, is packed with uplifting worship songs and sounds of joyous praise. This jazzy compilation is perfect for leading praise both inside and outside congregational settings, whether for a large church family on a Sunday morning or a small, home group gathering on a weeknight.
The songs on this album are personal, and the melodies are happy. All are derived from the most recent collection Walker has introduced to the congregation of Christian Assembly in Los Angeles, where he has led worship since 1990.
The artist has written more than 100 songs that are sung in churches around the world. His well-known worship hits include “Mourning Into Dancing,” “He knows My Name,” “Only a God Like You,” and “That’s Why We Praise Him.” One of his most recent numbers, “I Have a Hope,” has already been well received by churches across the United States.
Songs on this new album that will probably become worship standards sung in churches worldwide are “I Will Not Be Shaken” and “He Came,” just to name a couple.
Walker has spent this last decade traveling globally, leading worship concerts and holding mercy ministry outreaches to help those in need. As accomplished as he is, however, he considers his greatest achievement to be remaining faithful to God, his family and his church family.
